STAFF FIRE SAFETY TRAINING

From the Experts in Fire Safety

The Legal Requirement

  • The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to provide training for staff at the time of first employment and when there is a change in the risk they are exposed to, or they have a change of responsibility.
  • The training has to be given by a person who is competent in the subject and in their ability to teach it.

Our Trainers

  • Keith Blackwell, Cert. Ed., is our Principal Fire Safety Trainer. Keith gained real practical and technical knowledge as a serving Fire Service Officer, and combines this with excellent teaching skills gained as a Head Teacher. A unique combination that provides outstanding levels of customer satisfaction.

What our Customers Say

  • "I have been on a number of fire training courses but this was by far the most enjoyable and most useful."
  • "A very worthwhile course that lasted the right amount of time and was presented really well."
  • "A brilliant presentation."
  • "…will certainly recommend to others and book again."

What we Provide

  • We provide you with a course that is exactly as you specify or we can offer you our ready-made and developed courses.
  • Our standard courses are given in two modules (Fire Safety Awareness and Fire Warden/Marshal modules).
  • On completion of a module, each person receives a certificate.
  • We can provide bespoke Fire Safety Training input appropriate to your needs.
  • We partnered with the London Borough of Bexley to develop a multi-media training package called ‘Training the Trainers’ that allows their teaching staff to teach other staff basic fire safety information using a combination of videos and PowerPoint Presentations www.bexley.gov.uk/saferschools.
Partnering with Impact Fire has been an entirely positive experience – they have been excellent…

The Fire Safety Awareness Module

  • We recommend this module for all staff as it provides the Fire Safety Awareness Training that is required for all employees.
  • Included in the session are videos, an onscreen presentation with handouts/cards, a quiz, and a demonstration and practice in the use of extinguishers.
  • Total teaching time is approximately 2.0 hours

The Fire Warden/Marshal Module

  • This module is similar to the Fire Safety Awareness Module but focuses on a slightly deeper level and looks at the legislation involved and the principles of fire safety design and fire evacuation strategy. It equips employees who have specific fire safety roles to carry out their tasks with confidence.
  • Included in the session are videos, an onscreen presentation with handouts/cards, a quiz, and a demonstration and practice in the use of extinguishers.
  • Total teaching time is approximately 2.5-3.0 hours.
